A leader in developing and implementing the Information Technology academic program. In addition to my role as Associate Director, I teach cybersecurity and IT courses, including Web Technologies, System Integration and Administration, Intro to Security, Advanced Security, System Administration and Integration, National Critical Infrastructure Security, Security Policy Standards and Compliance, Technical Project Management and more. As I developed these courses I included professional certification domains and content from CISSP, CISM, PMP, Security+, Network+ and Linux+, as well as content implementing the Agile/Scrum methodology, where I act as the Scrum Master for the student teams.In addition to teaching/research and other professorial roles, I coordinate academic assessment for the School of IT and Computing and work with curricular planning. I serve as a Visit Team Chair and Commissioner for the ABET organization, served on the Cybercomputing Program Criterion Development Committee, and mentor new program evaluators. Most recently, I led an assessment team to Saudi Arabia to evaluate various computing academic programs. Highly skilled in innovation, creativity, analysis and plan/program development. Certified as a Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence since 2000 (by American Society for Quality), I have a mindset for continuous improvement and effective assessment principles. In my project/program development and implementation I am continuously researching and incorporating various guidelines, standards and regulations, from the PMBOK or ABET Criteria to NIST 800 series documents and Security+, CISSP domains, and other Standards and guidelines.

Developed, designed and Implemented an academic program: Information and Knowledge Management (IKM). The curriculum integrated business, information systems and web programming and prepared students for the emerging field of knowledge workers who understood both the programming/communications technologies and the business aspects of a company. Served as the institution's Linux system administrator and innovator for modernizing the educational technology. Implemented Moodle learning management system and trained educators in the practice and mindset of the blended course concept, that of providing instruction both face-to-face and online. Served on the institution's strategic planning committee and worked with the Board of Trustees to improve the overall effectiveness of the institution.
