As the SkillBridge Coordinator, I oversee two installations in the program management and implementation of SkillBridge, ensuring transitioning service members have access to training and employment opportunities with partnering agencies that train this same audience in skill development. I build a positive rapport with national and local organizations in support of them becoming a DoD and local SkillBridge program, and collaborate with Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) for program expansion opportunities.Helps clients assess their values, interests, abilities, and skills and relate these to opportunities for employment, education, training, and life skills. Provides initial assessment of the client’s career and personal readiness circumstances and provides basic advice in order to aid the process of supporting their individual development plan.Researches information on local and national career, education, and/or recruitment procedures and policies, and labor market trends and produces supporting materials. Advises on career education programs and the development of skills required by employers and entrance to colleges, universities, or vocational learning. Develops and directs services designed to equip clients with necessary job search skills and employment and education preparation strategies appropriate to their skills levels and career/academic goals.Facilitates Personal and Professional Development’s workshops, activities, and events. Areas of instruction include employment, education, vocational/technical, and personal financial management disciplines.Adapts instructional strategies to meet student needs and utilizes technology and varied media as appropriate. Maintains the standards of achievement that are necessary in meeting the demands of occupations, education opportunities, technical training, or personal financial management for which students are being prepared. Collaborated with other programs within Marine and Family Programs.

Family Readiness Officer (2d Marine Division) Program Manager (NF-4)

Program Manager and Special Staff for the Commanding General's Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Program (UPFRP). Inspecting Officer on all matters of the UPFRP to the Division's 21 subordinate units, providing guidance and mentorship to Family Readiness Officers (FROs) within the Division which has touchpoints of over 25,000 people and had oversight for the budgeting and execution of an annual operations budget of over $400,000 with the design and implementation of monthly tracking and reporting standards procedures. Managed the communication and liaisoned between the Commanding General of the 2d Marine Division and II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) and to all subordinate commands within the 2d Marine Division for all matters in Unit, Personal & Family Readiness. Solidified personal contacts and collaborated with key personnel in the Marine Corps, principal assistants to the Commanding General, and representatives of comparable private sector organizations to strategically coordinate work efforts for Marine Corps Family Readiness and Installation Outreach programs.

I served as the liaison between the Command & the families and the three subordinate battalions in his charge, and served as the subject matter expert for Resource & Referral to the Marines/Sailors and their families for programs on and off base, communicating any/all resources to the unit and families, advise and offer solutions to the Command and their families Pre, Mid, and Post Deployment. Lead conduit and liaison between three battalions, the regiment, and the 2d Marine Division; had oversight of over 6,500 touchpoints and an annual operations budget of over $82,000. I also served as a coordinator of events and functions, working with multiple functions/agencies on and off base for the purpose of coordination of efforts for the needs of my command. Managed subordinate unit Family Readiness Officers within the regiment, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight on program matters.
