    Currently a senior majoring in Plastics Engineering looking forward to a summer 2014 internship at Gemini Inc., in Cannon Falls, MN. Continuing to develop a knowledge of plastics processing, simulation, design, and manufacturing as well as maintaining a knowledge of math, physics, mechanics, metal and polymer materials. Recently completed a group project involving three Industrial Design, two Plastics Engineering, and two Manufacturing Engineering students where we successfully designed and modified a medicine pill bottle cap, produced a two cavity injection mold, and processed parts which fit onto a prototyped assembly. Involved in Society of Plastics Engineers through group meetings, tours, speakers, and currently serving as the treasurer.

    Planned and established SOP’s to start up a Breyer 48” wide acrylic sheet extruder and to ensure proper utilization as well as aided in set-up, processing, and troubleshooting of the extruder. Became more familiar with injection molding, rotational molding and thermoforming processes at an industrial level. Aided in set-up, running, processing and trouble-shooting of existing injection molded cases and formed letters product lines recently brought in-house on 1000, 550 and 165 ton machines. Drafted building layouts at multiple locations within the company using CAD tools and made recommendations for future plans to create maximum efficiency. Communicated with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards for additional existing products.Created and implemented a procedure for a moisture analyzer to determine if moisture was causing injection molding issues.Learned the process of running a laser cutter and etcher and trained company personnel how to perform necessary test on it.
