On May 9, 2022 I underwent surgery for full replacement of my right knee. My surgeon approved the Leave / Disability period until September 9, 2022. During this recovery and rehabilitation period my knee developed complications involved with scar tissue and required a second surgical procedure to break the scar tissue that had developed across my knee cap limiting full flexibility and movement. Moderate progress was achieved through a daily exercise regiment and Physical Therapy sessions two to three times a week. Progress to regain the full function of my knee was not progressing without the possibility of a third surgical procedure to remove the scar tissue. In the first week of September 2022 I made a decision to resign my position at Ruhnau Clarke Architects to concentrate on the full time rehabilitation and recovery efforts. My health and well being as my main priority. Recovery is about 95% full motion. Full motion is expected to take an additional year with a continued exercise routine.
