Festival founded as a brand extension of the Martha's Vineyard Film Society. Conceived as a flagship event to celebrate world cinema. Annual attendance of over 3500 including press, filmmakers, and other film industry professionals. Built support for the event with local government, businesses, and community non-profits and signed numerous national sponsors - recent alliances include Nestle Waters, Stella Artois, Amtrak, IFC Films, Davidoff, and dozens of others over the past 15 years. Recognized by MovieMaker Magazine in March 2010 edition as one of the Top 25 Festival "Worth their Entry Fee".

Executive Director of the non-profit film society which operates three theaters: the Martha's Vineyard Film Center, a year-round digital cinema and performing arts space; Capawock and Strand movie theaters; festival director of the society's annual Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival in September, MV Environmental Film Festival in May, DOC WEEK in August, the FILMUSIC Festival in June, and WOMEN IN FILM FESTIVAL in October. Launched the new Boulder Environmental/Nature/Outdoors Film Festival in July 2019. Presenter of over 300 film related screenings/events annually. 2500+ film society members (400% growth over the last 3 years). Over 1500 independent films programmed, licensed, and hosted since 1999. Alternative programming including the MET OPERA, National Theater, Bolshoi Ballet, Science on Screen, and Great Art on Screen. • Managed and programmed film for two historic commercial movie theaters (Capawock and Strand) on Martha's Vineyard after a top-to-bottom renovation and conversion to DCI cinema in the winter of 2015. • Established the MV Film Center in 2012 as a multi-use cultural center to serve the Vineyard community. Fund-raised over $500,000 in 2011-12 and developed the project in the context of a public-private sector building project. • Recipient, MV Medal for Achievement in the Cultural Arts from MV Museum, Festival Director's Award for Excellence from IFFS, Governor's Citation from the State of Massachusetts.• Generated corporate sponsorships for the festival, providing companies such as Stella Artois, Idol Vodka, Davidoff, Amtrak, IFC Films, and San Pellegrino with experiential marketing opportunities. • Conceived special events and fundraisers, working with film industry veterans like Mike Nichols, Patricia Neal, William Styron, Tony Shalhoub, Brooke Adams, and Jules Feiffer in addition to dozens of filmmakers, directors, and producers.

Overhauled sales proposition and brand identity by repositioning the channel as a lifestyle and culture channel resulting in almost a 100% increase in signed accounts and revenue levels. Developed and implemented corporate marketing programs and customer outreach that lifted market position. Within a short amount of time was able to negotiate the largest local network deal by devising branded content for client utilizing cable TV, web, print, and VOD delivery platforms. Went on to close over 100 multi-media sales packages to luxury brands, real estate, tourism, beverage, consumer products, home improvement, and retail clients.
