As part of the head office team reporting to the Group Finance Manager I was responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial and management accounts.I was involved in Forecasting, Budgeting, Statutory Accounts and Ad Hoc Projects.I also had personal responsibility for the monthly reporting of capital expenditure to the senior management team on a factory-by-factory, project-by-project basisKey projects and achievements included: – Accounting System Development:- Key part of the small team responsible for implementing Hyperion HFM as the Chesapeake financial consolidation tool. This included key roles in design, testing and parallel running.- Responsible for the design and testing of new features in Hyperion HFM going forward. This included the development of Budget and Forecast scenarios and the conversion of the Actual scenario from US to UK Gaap.- Design a Capital Expenditure reporting system for HFM to integrate with the Forecast scenario.- Converted the Group’s FDC based management reporting Excel spread sheets to use Smartview (retrieval of HFM data through Excel)- Assisted in the development of data collection for Comshare FDC using excel.- Assisted in the conversion of the consolidated data for a change in accounting date and conversion to the euro.Project work:- Establish systems to consolidate the accounts following two major acquisitions and the requirement to report in US Gaap.- Additional reporting was required during a prolonged refinancing process, transitioning from a US listed company to a Private Equity funded group headquartered in the UK. New group and legal structure put in place for the companies acquired by the new sponsors.
