    Created a new design and build competition modeled off the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon in California called the Sustainability Decathlon. As a co-founder and director of the new competition called the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon, I recruited teams, wrote the rules and provided planning to successfully implement the competition. The competition will be held in October, 2023.

Managed successful programs and initiatives to reduce the cost, improve the reliability and increase the performance of solar photovoltaic technology. Created the award winning Solar Decathlon competition in 1999 and held seven events over 15 years before retiring from the Department in February, 2016.
