    We aren't big but we are quite clever. We have made a real difference to some of Britain's most famous outdoor performance brands.We helped turn around Berghaus's fortunes with brand essence and advertising work that re-connected with their core market.We launched Barbour's 'non-wax' performance gear to the world with what their MD described as their most successful advertising ever.And we have scored response rates above 11% on direct mail for Rohan without featuring a discount or an offer.We are so lucky to work in this world. The consumers we talk to are outdoor nuts like us, 'getting out' is the closest thing we have to a religion. It's how we connect with wild places and share real experiences with the people that matter most. This is exceptional and we're extraordinarily lucky. The least we can do is try and make our work extraordinary too.

    A team of us worked on Craghoppers, Barbour and various big London property developers like Crest Nicholson, Laings and Linden Homes. I drove around the country, wrote copy, worked all-nighters and tried to see my wife and kids. Generally a time of excitement, panic and exhaustion. Mainly driven by a fear of failure!Eventually moved into Manchester and changed the name to Joe Public as we didn't want to sound like a firm of solicitors any more.
