My technical duties were the same as at type01. Since no standards protocol existed I instituted the development standards I formulated for type01 in the first site I was responsible for. This protocol was adopted for all sites. The Resource Centre I suggested and managed covers HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, ASP, and good coding and online practice.- Senior HTML coder (incl. JavaScript, stylesheets, DHTML), manager of junior coders in team- Liaised and worked closely with ASP programmers- Instituted coding practice standards protocol- Resource Centre manager (incl. design, concept, content and coding)- Consulted on search engine optimisation- Consulted on information architecture- Consulted on conceptualisation with designers- Liaised with clients- Held workshops (i.e. on CSS - stylesheets)

I started as content editor. After teaching myself HTML I started working on the front-end of the site. My duties expanded to include online marketing and search engine research: I was responsible for researching and implementing ways of optimising the site for search engine submission and indexing, and maximising its exposure. (I traveled to London to brief the financial department on the technicalities involved.) - Editor- Chief HTML coder; responsible for search engine optimisation- Liaised and worked closely with ASP programmers- Wrote manuals for LP software- Online marketing, search engine research/submission- Webmaster: received and dealt with client and site visitor correspondence; up to 150 emails per day- Translated the site into German (not the content)
