My unique experiences have led me to recruiting -and it makes sense. I've had a bunch of VERY different client-facing experiences, and found the commonality to be my enjoyment of helping people, so why not help them enhance their lives? I get to work with an AMAZING team, who are supportive, helpful, and have a combined experience of like, 100 years in the industry. I am so excited to be part of this little team of big-time disrupters!

Another exbeererience! A casualty of Covid, this was an amazing and intimate live music venue with a big brew pub on top. A community institution that housed a cat who loves Lizzo, staff-family dinner nights, live punk-rock musical theatre, LGBTQ+ inclusive cabaret nights, and yearly viewings of "Scrooged" at Christmas, this was a part-time gig that felt like home. Miss you, Duggans!

A little bit of the old world in downtown Toronto! The lunch shifts were pretty intense - the restaurant would go from empty to full in 5 minutes. And our team handled it with hugs, jokes, and the odd argument over... cutlery. Forks aside, it was an absolute pleasure working at one of Toronto's hidden gems!

This was *such* a fun job, though it was only seasonal. I worked with an amazing bunch of people, learned about (and drank) a lot of different beers, and became the go-to "booth person" for all the major Toronto festivals. I like nerds in general, and beer nerds are some of my favourites!

A crumbling room full of an amazingly talented bunch of artists, this was a space where I slung drinks and created lasting relationships in my community. Was there live music every night? Yes. Were the cops called on us more than once? Yup! Did I enjoy every second of it? Absolutely.

Reading books while waiting for the phone to ring is not that bad a job. I worked with a bunch of amazing people here, alas it was just not exciting enough for me to stay. Also, I got to meet Gord Downie! He was such a sweetheart about my having to turn him away because of the wristband policy, even though I clearly knew who he was.

This was not my favourite experience. I loved being the one that all the other CSR's sent the "problem clients", and also realized I was not meant for the banking world. So, #learning.

I think if you're reading this, you know what an admin does. I enjoyed the experience it gave me in a LOT of various roles - anyone ever been an in-person collections agent for Toronto Hydro? Rough. Contracts that were extended month after month, where I was told to "keep my head down and take the money" even though I was bored to death? Different kind of rough!
