Procurement Data Analyst and Master Data Controller

There are numerous aspects to my daily job role. I am trained on SAP and use the system on a daily basis. I have also written and distributed step-by-step user guides on SAP and SAP related systems.I have written and implemented various processes and procedures and they have been audited both internally and externally. Currently my role as Data Analyst means that I pull vast amounts of data out of SAP and analyse them in excel. I pull all the information together into large reports on tonnage and spend to be sent out within the Procurement team and other areas of the business. This includes forecasting for the next year’s budget. I also use data from SAP to monitor KPI’s within the team and Procurement as a function. Due to the nature of my Master Data Controller role I have to liaise with other departments within the business, predominantly Operations, Technical, Logistics and Finance. Over the years I have worked here I have built up an outstanding rapport with these departments.

During my degree I actively participated two different University societies. One was a film related society called 'CineClub'. As secretary of this society I organised all of the administrative affairs and liaised with sponsors and the Student's Union on its behalf. I also had to write minutes and notes during meetings.Subsequently I had the role of Acting President, meaning I had control of the society's affairs. I chaired meetings, took minutes and helped to tutor and advise the new Committee members on their required duties for the following year. The society grew in number and still exists at the University today. The other society was smaller and based around knitting. I was a committee member and predominantly shared my ideas for knitting patterns and easier ways of teaching people how to knit and stay motivated, which I found I was good at doing and enjoyed.

In my role as customer service assistant for East Coast Mainline I consistently needed to provide assistance for a very broad range of passengers on a daily basis. All of this was face to face and usually included the assistance of disabled passengers. I would have to be very sensitive to their disability, whilst not drawing attention to it. I was always complimented on my ability to assist customers to the highest standards and my interpersonal skills.
