Federal Contractor / Logistic Specialist
-
Mar 1998 - Jul 2012
While working as a federal contractor/logistic specialist, I worked as the Lead Project Manager on the TRIMS Record Management system. The major emphasis of this project was designed to create workflow of all office communication, and document all key signoffs for special projects. Aspects of this project include deployment, testing, implantation of server upgrades to over 125 servers, client software upgrades to all user desktops, training and support. My duties included meeting with stakeholders, defining the scope, creating the work breakdown, creating sequence of activities, estimating resources, developing schedules, estimating cost, determining budget, monitoring the processes, identifying risk and completing the project on time, on schedule and on under budget.Ultimately, while using the same techniques to perform similar tasks, I had the same results at the USDA, US Patent & Trade Mark office, Office of Thrift Supervision and the World Bank. I studied new technology on the process of automation of shipping and receiving and mailroom operations to increase productivity which resulted in positive outcomes. I also was able to utilize these skills in the area of administrative support to aid with hiring processes. As the Project Manager I increased productivity in creating a work pool to help in emergency situations. I developed a line haul for the times national emergency shipments are needed, the Diplomatic pouch mail, could still be transported.
