This job entailed coordinating all facets of ‘Just Walk It’, a physical activity program designed to provide social support and a safe environment. My responsibilities included: * Supervising several full-time Project Officers, one Honours student and one part-time staff member; * Developing the program resources and structure for the state-wide dissemination of the program; * Coordination of the evaluation framework of the program; * Identifying and engaging local Government Authorities, Community Health Centres, and ex-service organisations to adopt the ‘Just Walk It’ program and in-servicing and supporting organisations implementing the program; * Preparing operational planning and strategic planning documentation and six monthly reports to the funding body, Sport and Recreation Queensland; * Managing the budget and preparing a successful 3 year funding submission to Sport and Recreation Queensland and other funding submissions; * Disseminating information about ‘Just Walk It’ to the public (inc. media), to organisations that could potentially adopt the program, and to interstate organisations (including conference presentations).
