Created online and printed marketing materials for Pier events, programs and initiatives to communicate the Pier’s activities to a variety of audiences. Managed the work of Web development contractors, printing and other projects according to budget. Negotiated with software providers to secure continuous functionality and hosting of the Pier’s online communications efforts.Scheduled and coordinated promotions and events, from large public events such as concerts and movie screenings to small school performances; worked with city staff, media and outside entities as necessary to ensure the safety and success of Pier events.Secured sponsorships totaling approximately $50,000 annually towards the Twilight Dance Series concerts and other events; wrote a successful application for a $100,000 grant from Preserve America for the Pier Centennial (awarded 2008).Maintained the Pier’s Web site and supervised the addition of content by the Administrative Assistant and interns.
