    I was headhunted to Direct the live morning show Expresso on a permanent basis, one month after inception after the Producer realized that the show needed streamlining and capable management, effective immediately. When I joined the team I was asked to successfully find the cause of any hindrance in proficiency and to cut back dramatically on expenditure as well as to Direct the team through a live 2.5 hour, sponsor funded show.Therefore my roles include: • Making sure that the show stays in line with the vision of both Production and our sponsoring clients. • Managing a team of 25 crew members on a daily basis • Daily present brief to all Crew members and Presenters, theneeds of the Production team and clients (sponsors) respectively • Creating and tailoring concepts, after researching the client proficiently, that will successfully convey the message of the advertiser (client) to the public/consumer. • Managing client expectations in accordance with what can be carried out on Live TV. • Checking in with the client regularly to ensure that they are satisfied with how the concept is being executed. • Leading and navigating the team through anything that live television can throw at us, both technical and conceptual.

    I was headhunted to Direct the live show Hectic Nine 9 on a more permanent basis after Okuhle Media decided they would like a Director who would be dedicated to the show and help manage the production teams. They felt this was needed in order to create a more synchronized show between crew (Waterfront Studios) and production (Okuhle Media).Therefore, my roles include those normal to a Live Director (See Clockwork Zoo) as well as ones of a manager and facilitator.• Since moving to Okuhle is has been my responsibility to make sure that we are talking to the correct target market and follow through with mandate given to us by the SABC.• Make sure that all the teams; both production and crew work to their optimum• It is also my responsibility to make sure that the two companies needed to come together to make this production, (Waterfront Studios & Okuhle Media) do so in the most beneficial way possible.

    I directed a location based show, All Access, on a permanent basisfrom 2009 – 2010 and on a freelance basis since then. Whilepermanent with Homebrew Films I was also in charge of producingand directing numerous Corporate Commercials and Audio Visualpresentations such as the Media 24’s magazine releases and Men’sHealth Best Man awards.• As Producer, It is my primary role to interpret the needs of theclient and produce and present a script that will convey themessage of the product/client in a way that will keep theconsumer/viewer engaged and informed.• As Director, it is my role to make sure that what is in the briefis brought to life and stays true to the original wish of theclient• I deal with PR people and celebrities on a daily basis and havelearnt the skill of keeping many people happy withoutcompromising my product• I work with a number of well known presenters, keeping themmotivated and continuously improving on their skill• I also oversee any edits that are done on my inserts to makesure once again the message from conception is conveyed loudand clear.I am also proficient in other skills involved in the general process ofproducing an insert such as Budgeting, Research, Production andEditing.
