    From the start-up and launch to the day-to-day leadership of this internationally renowned glossy. This includes constant interactions with the editorial teams on print and digital, advertising strategy; liaising with clients, suppliers and readers; planning features, fashion and beauty shoots; conceptualising and hosting events, brand development. In the 11 years since its launch, GLAMOUR has become one of South Africa's leading glossies -- both on the newsstand and as an influencer.

    As the launch editor-in-chief, I worked on the full set-up of Marie Claire, including appointing and training staff, establishing the editorial ethos and design parameters, marketing the brand, interacting with advertisers and clients, and liaising constantly with the international principals. During the next six years, Marie Claire won a slew of awards, set new standards for South African magazines, and launched the careers of many highly regarded fashion stylists, photographers and writers.

    As a journalist, freelance editor and columnist, I wrote for international titles, including US Longevity, French Vogue and UK Hello!, and for South African titles including Fairlady, Style and Cosmopolitan. My column in the Sunday Times -- Fenster On The World -- covered leading personalities, events and social developments. During this period, I also guest edited at Longevity and edited The Day Night Guide to Cape Town, one of the first guides to the city.
