    ADV Ocean Shield (OSCV - AZI): LOA 111m, 8368 GRT, Kongsberg K-Pos DP-21 DP-2The Ocean Shield was originally being built as the Skandi Bergen for DOF ASA of Austevoll - Norway. Then purchased near completion by the Australian government in 2012. I personally was involved in the Black Carillon project with the Royal Australian Navy and James Fisher defence in November 2013. It was the first ship in the world to successfully side-launch a submarine rescue vessel using an A-frame. I worked on board as 3/0 during Black Carillon and the International Navy Fleet review in Sydney harbour October 2013. During my swings I also had the opportunity to work as Acting Chief officer and 2/0. I gained experience working with ROV equipment during the Black Carillon exercise.
