    I have worked for Safe Working Practice Cape Town (PTY) LTD as a full-time Occupational Health & Safety Consultant from September 2017 until September 2020.Safe Working Practice specialises in addressing Health and Safety issues affecting the construction and road work industries in particular but also serves other sectors including wholesale and retail offices, warehouses, transporters, farmers, franchises, educational institutions, golf courses, restaurants, and wine estates.My non-construction responsibilities included the management of all Safe Working Practice Cape Town’s non-construction clientele. I.e., Retirement estates, schools, body corporates, residential estates and buildings, car dealerships and repair centres, furniture manufacturing, clothing manufacturing, golf courses, marinas and yachting clubs, office buildings, and various administrative type businesses, printing works, hotels, etc…I would typically conduct month-to-month premises inspections, annual safety audits, and other practically orientated services for clients. I would also provide clients with recommendations in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable Regulations, SANS Regulations, and By-Laws (City of Cape Town) depending on their needs and the industry question. I have conducted over 380 premises inspections (non-construction) and advised hundreds of clients on various safety-related requirements and recommendations, My construction responsibilities included the compilation of the project-specific Health & Safety Specification and Baseline Risk Assessments, inspection for various term-tender projects for the City of Cape Town, and to a lesser extent, construction site inspections and the review of contractor safety plans.I have compiled, under the Mentorship of Mark Winter (PrCHSA – SACPCMP), over 350 safety specifications. I have also conducted over 560 project inspections for the City of Cape Town on various projects.
