    Working closely with legendary US retailer Jim Brett, the former CEO of J.CREW and West Elm, former President of West Elm, former head of home Anthropologie, developing homeware ranges for clients in the US.As Design Director my role was to conceptualise, develop and sample furniture ranges Banana Republic Home.I designed almost 200 silhouettes in less than 6 months, Working closely with the Head or Merchandising based in the US and Senior Vice President based in Cape Town, South Africa. Presenting our ideas, concepts and sketches to the CEO and COO , regularly updating them on programmes at all stages of development. Mentoring young design talent and outsource partners designing collections and developing design languages. Regular travel to Milan, China, India and Vietnam to visit suppliers and manage sampling for client approvals, often workshopping designs directly with the suppliers whilst in country.

    Mansfield-Scaddan Studio is a design consultancy with expertise in bespoke interior, retail and furniture design.After 12 years in the design industry in London and another decade in Cape Town, I have cultivated a keen eye for impactful design and as such, developed interdisciplinary approach to design and a wide ranging portfolio of work from installations to retail to houses and furniture.The studio is proficient in the creation of concepts, initial sketches and detailed hand drawings as well as 3d modelling and renders for client presentation. We also assist with putting packages and working drawings together, issuing production packages and information for tender. We assist and work in the workshop, on site and deal directly with sub-contractors, suppliers and manufacturers.

Sensitive refurbishment of 6 Grade 1 & 2 listed buildings with subterranean 23 spa treatments rooms, pool, squash courts and 200 bedroom hotel suites.Coordinated drawing packages for the planning application submission to English HeritageGeorgian Building former Prime Minister Lord Palmiston's residence, the American Club an Edwardian building, a Victorian mansion block and a modern office block behind a facade retention.

    Assisting the Project Architect on New Gallery, Regent Street, London The New Gallery was originally built in the late 19th century. Later partially rebuilt as a cinema it was hidden behind the more recent 1930’s facade to Regent Street. It is Listed but lay derelict for many years and was on the Buildings at Risk Register. It has now been fully restored to its original glory and converted for retail use with shopfronts directly on to Regent Street. The raking cinema floor was levelled as retail space with original internal features fully restored.

    Model maker and Set builder for Rob Edkins the owner of the business. Rob taught me how to work creatively and at a fast pace at scale on large format public works. We installed exhibitions for Ron Arad, made furniture for Ron Arad and Zaha Hadid and Thomas Heatherwick Studio etc. Including working in Museum and on sets for the Rolling Stones we also worked on mechanical installation ns and lighting pieces for designers.
