    Established in 2001 and Incorporated in Georgia in 2008, Premier Surplus, Inc., located 55 miles north of Atlanta, GA is a woman owned business that specializes in Electronic Asset recycling solutions. This includes “end-of-life” equipment management, remarketing, recycling, product destruction, and data destruction. In 2001, they started operating out of a single car garage buying and selling printers, microfilm, and typewriters. By 2003, the business had expanded to a two car garage and Stephanie established an eBay presence in order to increase margin by selling directly to the end user. As business grew, it became evident that many customers needed a more comprehensive service dealing with their retiring electronic assets. So by 2007 Premier Surplus was operating out of a 2,500 square foot facility where not only were they buying and selling assets, but also recycling the equipment with no resale value.In January of 2012, after a large investment of time and resources, the business became ISO and R2 (responsible recycling) standard certified. They added a shred operation to more efficiently process e-waste, recover materials & adhere to their Zero Landfill policy. In 2014, Premier Surplus was operating out of a 50,000 square foot facility.Currently, over 60 employees operate out of a 137,000 square foot facility servicing over 40 major accounts. They have Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 corporate customers throughout the Southeast and service large government agencies and is the recycling partner for multiple healthcare facilities. As part of its R2 certification, Premier Surplus adheres to both HIPAA and DOD guidelines in regards to the safe guarding and destruction of customer’s data.
