Within the Brand and Communications Division, I worked with clients to improve branding effectiveness through various communications functions, including, and especially, advertising. The goal of these efforts is to use research to guide the ever-important branding efforts that effective marketers need to create and/or develop. This, in turn, has led to my emphasis with clients and prospective clients on analysis of advertising -- that is, not only knowing whether an ad is fulfilling its mission or not, but why it is performing as it is and what can be done to bolster its power.

In a new venture for me, I expanded my advertising-effectiveness work to comprise the discipline of web analytics. I was able to employed the company’s unique analytics metrics to evaluate digital advertising and combined those tools with background in consumer insights and advertising research to make specific recommendations to create more powerful advertising. Most interesting in this work was to discover the similarities between digital advertising and the traditional media -- and the differences.
