I specialised in:* complex investments across a range of asset classes for highly-regulated institutional investors, including superannuation funds, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds; and* advising financial services businesses (including superannuation funds and fund managers) on Australia's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.I advised a number of national and international clients, including:* a range of financial services businesses, including 3 of Australia's Big 4 banks, in relation to the review, uplift and remediation of their AML/CTF systems and controls;* HESTA, on its acquisition of a stake in Landgate, Western Australia's land titles registry;* First State Super, on its investment in a US$700 million venture with APG, CPPIB, GIC and Goodman Group to develop large-scale logistics assets in Brazil;* Rest, on its investment of approximately $900 million in the redevelopment of Quay Quarter Tower, Sydney;* The Future Fund Board of Guardians, in relation to a number of private equity transactions across various jurisdictions;* Bouwinvest, on its investment in a series of Australian student accommodation projects;* Equity Trustees Limited, on the establishment of a non-operating holding company for the EQT Group; and* Federation Centres (now Vicinity Centres), on its merger with Novion Property Group to create one of Australia's largest real estate investment trusts.I also advised many of the firm's other clients, including National Australia Bank, ANZ, Westpac, CBA, Goldman Sachs, CBRE, Coles and Wesfarmers.

During my internship, I assisted the Coroner's Prevention Unit with case investigations as part of the Victorian Systemic Review of Family Violence Deaths. This project is one of the most significant and far-reaching systemic investigations into family violence in Victoria. I contributed to investigations into some of Victoria's most high-profile family violence cases, by undertaking tasks such as reviewing briefs of evidence, preparing chronologies, and identifying opportunities for preventative law reform.

The Centre for Health Policy Programs and Economics undertakes evaluations of health policy at international, national, state and local levels. It is multi-disciplinary, bringing together clinicians, economists, implementation scientists, lawyers, managers, psychologists, sociologists and political scientists. In my role as Research Assistant, I conducted quantitative and qualitative research to assist with a number of medico-legal projects, including a review of the effectiveness of recommendations made by Victorian Coroners; the health effects of motor vehicle and workplace injury compensation schemes; and complaints against health practitioners made to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
