    Together with my innovation colleague and in close cooperation with other colleagues in our Embassy, I encourage and stimulate technological cooperation between entrepreneurs and researchers from Korea and the Netherlands. I write about innovation and its fast developments in Korea based on business/collaboration opportunities that we see or based on the request of our government. I bring people together via offline, online, and hybrid missions to Korea with seminars and B2B matchmaking. We also assist individual companies.To stimulate and support the cooperation on a B2B level, we are also connecting ministries and governmental agencies of both countries to start and maintain dialogues. With the EU Delegation in Korea and with colleagues at embassies of EU member states, I am actively promoting joint research opportunities with EU members state using Eurostars and Horizon Europe funding.The main sectors that I currently work on are semiconductor, life science, hydrogen, and smart city.As I believe that we should spend a small portion of our time in improving the organization that we work for, I have taken up several roles and tasks which are not related to my work. For three years, I was chairperson of the employee platform in the embassy. In a team of three, we discuss issues that involved all employees (e.g. fringe benefits, salary adjustment scheme) with our management team and the ministry. Furthermore, I was involved with the introduction and implementation of several new software systems in our office. Currently, I am one of the two confidential advisors and I am actively involved with maintaining and upgrading the ICT infrastructure in our office.
