As a Senior Business Analyst on the National Leasing 'Felix' Project I was involved in all three 'seasons' of a successful multi year core system replacement project. Using Agile Methodologies like Scrum and Kanban (even Scrumban) the project team was able to iteratively build a new system "With the Business" as opposed to "For the Business". As a Business Analyst I was called upon to: - Provide input into the development of an overarching system Road Map that guided the project team throughout the system replacement initiative. - Decompose Road Map Milestones into a framework of User Stories, estimated to fit within the overall Milestone estimate. - Work with the Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to flesh out User Stories into clear and concise Acceptance Criteria (AC). - Create low-fidelity to high-fidelity artifacts to provide understanding and support of the User Story AC. - Managed User Story Reviews with the Product Owner (PO), SMEs, Lead Developer, Lead Quality Analyst (QA), and Systems Architect. - Provide input to Scrum Master (SM) with regards to Product Backlog and Sprint Planning. - Facilitate User Story Kick-Off meetings to ensure common understanding across the project team. - Represent Business when questions or concerns arose during the Development and QA Testing cycles. - Provide input when questions or concerns arose during User Acceptance Testing cycles. - Participate in team Sprint Retrospective sessions. Tools: Jama, Jira, Confluence, Trello, CardBoard, Hipchat, Balsamiq Mockups, Aqua Data Studio, Excel. Techniques: Story Maps, T-Shirt Sizing, Use Cases, Personas, Swim-Lane Diagrams, Business Process Mapping
