Created a 26-hour week of teacher-training content (“Initial Training”) from scratch, for teachers new to living, working and teaching in Japan.Conducted all sessions of Initial Training, including oral presentations, practical sessions and workshops. This training receives an average 93% satisfaction rating from teachers.Trained over 1,000 teachers for Link Interac, including our flagship “Narita Training” session where I planned and performed training for 200 teachers.Created and administered a 6-hour online course in Google Classroom to help teachers who are about to come to Japan. This course includes lessons on Japanese culture and etiquette. This course won the company-wide award for “Best Project” in 2016.Created and administered a multi-course “Skill-up” training for current teachers comprising of over 10 different teaching topics.Created and maintained a 200-page teaching manual for 4,000 teachers called the “ALTpedia”.Launched and conducted quarterly Trainer Seminars that gather staff from the 15 branches across Japan, enhancing our teaching quality across the country.Performed nationwide special workshops for Japanese teachers to improve their working relationship with Interac teachers.Created a uniform branding of presentations and resources that is used nationwide.Kevin Salthouse, General Director of the Interac Group, has described the work I have done with Training as “phenomenal”.

Offered training, support and guidance to ALTs new and ongoing.Recruited of new ALTs via a screening process of assessing videos and resumes.Provided teaching advice with the suggestions of activities, teaching techniques etc.Created a 30-page “Survivor’s Guide to Japan” for new teachers settling into life in Japan. This manual continues to be used nationwide by the whole company.Created a “Contact Log” for tracking all communication with 150-plus teachers. The system continues to be used nationwide by the whole company.Designed and conducted large- and small-scale training sessions and meetings, observing lessons and offering feedback to teachers.Conducted workshops for Japanese teachers and members of various Boards of Educations of numerous cities across the Kanto region.Acted as a morale-booster for the branch, contacting ALTs with positive news and making 'Happy Calls' to increase morale.Dealt with 'Crisis Management' issues, handling high-stress, potentially dangerous situations.Took a central role in the “Nasushiobara Project”, where we introduced 30 new teachers to a city in Tochigi through an intensive 3-week training. This won the company-wide award for “Best Project” in 2014.
