Serves as a Product Support Manager within Medical Modeling and Simulation office for the Joint Project Manager, working independently, making decisions and recommendations for the Government based on knowledge, skills, and experience. Serves as the primary logistics subject matter expert during proposal evaluations ensuring the proper and timely development of all logistics planning documents for assigned programs, including the Acquisition Strategy, Life-Cycle Management Plan, Life-Cycle Sustainment Plan, and Materiel Fielding Plans. Develops schedules for and chairs IPT meetings, provisioning conferences, logistics data reviews, system fielding, and training events. Prepares and revises contract requirements for logistics data including Statement of Work (SOW) clauses, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Specifications. Reviews and evaluates contractor deliveries of logistics data. Provides guidance to the contractor and feedback on logistics subject areas to the appropriate Project Director, Product Manager. Prepares and justifies budget requirements for logistics support. Supports system evaluation, testing, and fielding efforts including Validation/Verification of technical publications, New Equipment Training, and Physical/Functional Configuration Audits. Coordinates with other offices to arrange for sustainment management functions after fielding. Continually monitors and evaluates the logistics posture of the supported program to prevent issues from arising. Develops corrective action plans as needed and oversees implementation to resolve complex problems independently. Develops logistics policies for the PEO. Serves as a subject matter expert and provides direction and guidance to lower level Logistics Management Specialists as needed. Provide mentoring and coaching within the workplace.
