As Financial Controller of Daikin NZ my responsibilities are:• Oversee the localisation of the Finance functions from Australia to New Zealand• Establishment and control of J-Sox corporate requirements• Preparation, monitoring and submission of all budget information• all external and internal financial reporting, lodgment of all returns, reports, etc, to internal (within DNZ and to DIT/ DIL), as well as to external parties (e.g. government and legislative bodies)• Oversee banking, insurances and CAPEX movements• Manage the corporate affairs of the company – NZCO notifications, call and run all Board meetings and facilitate presentations from all Department Heads• Manage Credit Team• Liaise with the DAS IT Department, with a focus on development of the IT environment to support the business into the future • Management and facilitation of Corporate Governance, with oversight of all matters including Internal Audit, Compliance, Regulatory Matters, etc. • Management and facilitation of legal matters• General daily operation of finance functions• Direct reports of sixDuring my time in the role among other things I have localised the finance and supply chain functions from Australia and localised the spare parts warehousing from a third party warehouse.
