Graduated as a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management in London, June 2010. Honoured to graduate on the same day as Eleanor Clark, PA to Dame Kelly Holmes DBE MBE.Best bits: Interaction with customers, arranging Royal visits, corporate events such as Tall Ships, the launch of the Americas Cup Blue Arrow Challenge (having a Harrier Jump Jet bow to us at the head of our QE2 drydock - a lifetime highlight) and working in a fantastic industry. Meeting Martin Chivers (Spurs) through work! Assisting the delivery of vital supplies to All as One Orphanage in Sierra Leone during the ebola crisis. Being awarded the British Empire Medal (New Year's Honours 2019).

    Chairman and Manager of The Flying Angel Centre (the Falmouth Branch) inside A&P Group's Falmouth Docks.The Mission to Seafarers is a registered charity which operates in 200 ports worldwide.Principal duty to care for and support all seafarers of all nationalities, all religions and no religion.Also responsible for fundraising and raising the profile of The Mission to Seafarers, regularly giving Talks on the work undertaken at Falmouth Mission.Chairman of an active Committee who are focused on the care of seafarers.Centre nominated Seafarers' Centre of the Year by Seafarers 2010 (with Barcelona winning), and Chairman nominated Welfare Personality of the Year (2010) awarded runner up in both categories. Best bits: Assisting the survivors of MSC Flaminia (18/19 July 2012). Hearing from seafarers we helped many years ago and who still remember us fondly; helping two Romanian seafarers to get home after they were abandoned in the River Fal (Nov 2012). Assisting Filipino seafarers to contact loved ones in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan (November 2013), and supporting Ukranian seafarers during the crisis in Ukraine (February 2014). Assisted the crew of MV Sea Breeze, which was sinking off The Lizard (9 March 2014). Waiting at Falmouth RNLI Station at 0900 on Sunday 9 March for the 5 Russian crewmen following rescue from their small coaster, taking them to The Flying Angel Centre, arranging for clothes, shoes and toiletries, hot breakfast, lunch and liaising on their behalf with MAIB and Barbados Flag State, then hotel accommodation for 2 nights. Doctor and Dentist appointments arranged and contact with home.

    Worked for the first company to explore for oil in the SW Approaches, running the office, keeping in contact with Zephyr 1, the oil rig undertaking the exploratory drilling. Arranged for crewing by helicopter, contact with offshore supply ships and supported Ken Hartog, the Drill Manager (running between home USA, and The Hague). Best bits - eating lunch off a Diamond Drill Bit and not realising its value! Taking off from Falmouth Docks in a helicopter and travelling to Land's End and back (which back in the day was unheard of!)
