      Victoria Bridge is a heritage-listed swing bridge over the Ross Creek in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The central-pivoting swing bridge was constructed by G. H. Royce & Co. in 1889. It is one of only two of its type constructed in Australia.By 1924 the swing section had ceased to function, but the bridge continued to serve as a road bridge until 1975. Following a 1988 redevelopment, it was converted to pedestrian traffic, with a row of modern shops built along its length. The bridge is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.In 1986 a Redevelopment commenced on the bridge to facilitate retail shops and office space on the deck of the bridge, a Restaurant on the lower section of the bridge on the south side, a Café on the lower section of the north side of the bridge and a multi cultural food Court [in independent buildings], and a boardwalk on the waterfront on the north side of the development.The launch of the redevelopment saw the first Lazer light Show in Townsville with images being projected on the roof of the new structure, and a Fireworks display with 5 different firing points including a waterfall of fireworks under the Bridge & muilt in water sprays.The following year to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the bridge a major event was held with Flames of Polynesia performing a 3 hour stage show set up in Hanran Park, followed by another major Fire works presentation.The development was sold by Westmark Corporation and it has since been retuned to an open bridge and the development of the site along Ross Creek is planned for the future residential accommodation and restaurants.
