As a member, I have been Vice Chair and rep to the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance where I was a board member.

I am able to advise interested parties as to how to prepare for fishing tourists and how/ where to advertise their product. This is down by the committee, led by Markley Wilson, in order to increase the sports fishing in NYS. I am also involved with the DEC who plays an instrumental role in any promotion.

    As a memeber of the Ithaca Rotary, I volunteer time to assist the district in adding more Rotaract Clubs to Disrtict 7170. I have also traveled to Taiwan to visit other Rotarians. While there, I began to explore the potential for fishing tourism.

    I started as a charter boat captain/fishing guide. I got invoved in tourism and began to use my knowledge and marketing skills to promote outdoor recreation as a tourism attraction. After going to England on 3 different occassions, I began helping the state promote this international tourism attraction. Today I am involved with the state in promoting the Erie Canal as a " carp corridor ".
