Bendon has more than 600 staff at offices in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, London and Hong Kong and a growing network of over 50 company-owned Bendon retail and outlet stores.In my role as COO of Bendon, I managed the operations (finance, supply chain, inventory, IT, HR & special projects) of the business to enable CEO to focus on business development.When I joined Bendon, it had recently commenced a brand transition from Elle MacPherson Intimates to Heidi Klum Intimates and required additional resources to assist with this process.Key responsibilities included:- Reviewing financial modelling, monthly reporting and forecasting processes- Developing a model to determine optimal monthly inventory levels - Managed inventory clearance process as part of brand transition- Managed integration process following acquisition of USA business- Improved quality of monthly reporting pack and reduced timeframe to produce information by 3 days

    Momentum Corporate is a boutique investment bank which I co-founded with Kevin Jacobson in October 2003. Momentum provides corporate and strategic advice to private and listed companies on mergers and acquisitions, divestments, takeover defence and capital raising (both from the public market and via private equity). Some of the companies which Momentum has advised includes: Metcash Ltd, Pick 'n Pay/Franklins, Customers Ltd and Tandou Ltd. Private equity is another core aspect of Momentum's business. Momentum sources investment opportunities in private businesses on behalf of its high net worth investor base. Momentum has a very hands-on approach to managing these private equity investments. One such investment was Harris Scarfe, a retail chain of home and apparel stores, which was sold to PEP Stores in July 2012.My role included providing strategic & financial advice to clients, managing the private equity investments & managing all the operational elements of Momentum’s advisory and funds management business I played a lead role in Momentum's advisory business on transactions such as Metcash's acquisition of Australian Truck & Auto Parts (2013), Metcash's acquisition of the Automotive Brands Group (2012), the sale of the Franklins stores (2011), and Customers Ltd's acquisition of ATM Solutions (2007). I was responsible for the structuring, compliance, accounting and administration of Momentum's private equity investments. This included reviewing private equity investment opportunities and leading various project for Momentum's investees.I was instrumental in developing and executing Momentum's vision and strategy taking it from a newly formed corporate advisory business to a leading boutique investment bank which provides corporate advice and manages private equity investments across various industries, with particular expertise in the retail sector.

    Global Micro Solutions is an information technology company using a SAAS model to provide offering a fully outsourced desktop solution to corporate customers (50-250 users) for a fixed monthly fee per user per month.I was involved in managing all aspects of the business including daily operations, customer service, development of marketing collateral, product delivery, human resources, accounting and finance as well as the joint venture relationship with Internet Solutions (ISP). The role also included implementing improved processes across various parts of the business and working with the Directors to develop the growth strategy and initiatives for the business.During my time at GMS, the business doubled turnover year-on-year for two consecutive years and grew from 8 people to 22 people.
