      In addition to clinics throughout the United States and special clinics in Brazil and England, Paul taught hundreds of riders on different levels and with different goals at Sweet Briar College. He specialized in teaching advanced pupils to train/school horses on a range of levels and successfully schooled and taught Hunter/Jumper competitors at AHSA/USHJA competitions. He coached many Champion and Reserve Champion Intercollegiate teams and individual riders. ANRC Intercollegiate National Champion Teams (9 times) - 1978/79/80/86/87/88/89/90/99. National Reserve Champion (5 times) - 1981/82/83/84/85. Recognized by Sports Illustrated Magazine. For more than 25 years, Paul has served as an AHSA Hunter and Hunter Equitation Judge. Paul served on numerous Academic and College Affairs Committees as well as national committees aimed at improving the sport including the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), the Affiliated National Riding Commission (ANRC) and NASPE-NAGWS.In 1998, Sweet Briar College established an endowed position: The Paul D. Cronin Chair of Riding.In 2001, Paul was awarded Professor Emeritus and Director of Riding Emeritus.
