A locally produced show that focuses on politics in an even handed way to present multiple sides of events that are shaping the city and country. With guests from across the political spectrum, and through various levels of political discourse, I've been fortunate enough to regularly bring people up to speed with the political world around them. Past guests have included National Party Whip Tim Macindoe, Family First leader Bob McCoskrie, Conservative Party Leader Colin Craig, Members from all political parties, a variety of city councillors and a number of local personalities, I'm hopeful that by giving the public information and knowledge, we can work together to get people interested in the choices politicians make that have an outcome on their lives.

  • HOYTS Group

    • Location Manager - Metro by Hoyts
      • Jan 2016 - Jun 2017
      • Hamilton

As Location Manager of Metro by Hoyts, I was employed to find new ways to build audiences for Hamilton's smallest mainstream cinema (11% of total seating capacity in Hamilton). Using a variety of channels I grew the audience market share from 17% to 25%, saw Metro grow to have the second highest YTD percentage earnings (2015 - 206) of any cinema in NZ, increases in average sales, average spend and consistently highest customer satisfaction results within the New Zealand Hoyts cinemas. I also over saw the $3.8 Million dollar upgrade of two new reclining cinemas, menu upgrades and changes and closer working relationships built with various parties around Hamilton.

  • YOOBEE
    • Te Awa, The Base
    • Social Media Manager and Store Manager (Hamilton)
      • Dec 2011 - Jan 2016
      • Te Awa, The Base

As Social Media Manager I have grown the daily interactions of customers from single digit figures to upwards of 300 people daily, focusing on two streams of Facebook and Twitter.By creating and integrating a strategy that focuses on the people within the sales teams who use the products themselves - since this is YOOBEE's primary point of difference from big box retailers, I created exponential growth and customer service experiences that have kept customers returning to the chain from around New Zealand. As Store Manager I am in charge of a team of six, two dedicated retail staff, three technical staff and Business and Education sales manager for the Waikato. I took a store that was very static in a less than ideal location and raised the profile of the business through targeted advertising in business publications and sponsorship of an award winning technology radio show and Podcast. With the lowest staff turn around of any store in the company, I've worked to up-skill staff by sending them on various training courses which has seen us grow business sales exponentially and have become the top selling store to Education providers in the country and managed to improve the efficiency and skills of the Service department to the point where we are about to become New Zealand's first Apple Premium Service Provider.

  • 48 Hours Furious Film Making
    • Hamilton, New Zealand
    • Hamilton Manager
      • Mar 2005 - Jun 2012
      • Hamilton, New Zealand

For 7 years I managed the Hamilton are of the 48 Hour Film making competition - the largest film making venture in the Country. It was my job to ensure locations, legel permissions, local promotions, education campaigns and other organisational elements were taken care of every year. I toured the Waikato Region and at it's largest, this area covered New Plymouth to Gisborne, Pukekohe to Taupo - with 100 teams entered from that area.In 2012, the competition's 10th Anniversary, I stepped down as Manager to concentrate on my own film work - and this year entered myself as a first timer - landing in the Regional Top 12, with our film nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress awards. In that time I saw the growth of film making in the region and several film makers who started in the Waikato went on to do incredibly well both within the competition and outside of it.

Working closely with the Hamilton Software Manager, I helped build the department to the point where it was the only location a number of high profile clients would come to. My education in screen made me the first point of contact for both The University of Waikato Screen and Media Department and The Waikato Institute of Technology Film and TV Department. Film makers, distributors and film aficionados would single me out because of my high level of knowledge in the field as well as my ability to help solve problems they had, and my skill to be able to find rare films and recommend titles they hadn't considered based on what they told me. Personally I was very humbled when over 3 dozen customers ranging from teachers and professors, through to city councillors and regular customers wrote asking for the store to find a way to keep me there, citing my presence as the deciding factor for their visits over going online and buying directly, cutting out any need for a middle man.
