    After graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in (now referred to as the Legendary Leadership Class) 1968, I joined the Marines. My MOS was aviation. I flew over 3,000 hours, principally in CH-46 helicopters. I was in Viet Nam in 1970-71 as a member of HMM-263, "Peachbush". Other aircraft included the EA-6A Intruder and the King Air. I retired in 1992 in Albuquerque, NM following my final tour as the Commanding Officer of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at the University of New Mexico.
