    RECENT KEY ACHIEVEMENTS IN RAILWAY ENGINEERINGAcquired a working knowledge of the Siemens GTO based AC Traction Control System. Developed a life extension program including a thorough analysis of the Gate Drive Electronic circuitry and provided design modifications to improve reliability for same – October 2015. Joint winner with a work colleague for the Downer Group’s ‘Downer World Environment Day’ competition. The proposal to implement Solar Technology for Locomotives fitted with Auto Engine Start/Stop Systems to reduce start/stop cycles during idle periods is now in its’ prototype stages of development. I designed the electrical switching and monitoring circuitry to integrate the solar system on locomotives – September 2015Annual Performance Review rated as ‘exceeding expectations’ – July 2015Recognised for my commitment and performance which has exceeded expectations by receiving a ‘ Downer Rail Excellence Award’ for providing a solution to a Locomotive Control System with intermittent failures, which had been problematic for quite some time, causing in-traffic delays – January 2015

Develop designs and produce Electrical drawings, working with the Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager. Provide engineering feedback and continual production support/leadership for implementing design changes.Provide official releases of the databases for production and procurement purposes, as required for a number of contracts.
