    Although I started selling (pre-construction) homes and building sites in 1972 owned and built by my father D.R.Laufer builder, it was in 1979 when I first became licensed to sell properties owned by others through the various Multiple listing services. In the 1980's Laufer Real Estate joined the Century 21 Franchise becoming Century 21 Laufer & Associates located on the Post Road in Southport CT for which I earned countless awards as a Top Producer. Eventually in 1990 we spun off and became a boutique Family Owned Real Estate Company returning back as Laufer Real Estate. Our company has always been bless with periodically earning the Ubicon Award as Top Producing Agency for the area.

    We had 3-note worthy subdivisions in Fairfield for which we developed and built many of the homes, which include Stella Lane, Coventry Lane and Coventry Meadows in the Greenfield Hill section of Fairfield. Donated the streets to the town of Fairfield Stella Lane Fairfield around 1978 (Named after my Aunt Stella Lewis) and Coventry Lane to the town of Fairfield around 1986. D.R.Laufer Builder started off on his own in the 1950's after working for his relative who owned a Construction Company in the 1940's. As curious kids (1 of 5 boys) we started going to job-sites with our father and helping out in 1968 and by the early 1970's we learned every aspect of the trade, and were proficient in our abilities to build from ground up, including site preparation, planning, and construction, start to finish. Typical size under 5,000 Square foot homes (mostly 2,400 SF- 4,500 SF Class), both Single Family and Multi-family homes in the Lower Fairfield County Area. I still assist with the construction side, just to keep up with the new technologies and freshen up my skills. The photo attached is one of my favorite homes we built from the ground up, including stonewalls and landscaping... we delivered a complete package, site development, all phases of construction process and landscaping, a true turn-key operation.
