As part of an internal re-organisation, moved to a global role. Worked with the stakeholders to manage issues raised by the business and with the technical specialists in India and Krakow to provide solutions. Managed the outsourced IT and Service centre relationships with Infosys and Cap Gemini. Developed a strong working relationship with the different teams. Main implementations completed in 2011. Now supporting the business strategy to use the global, standardised systems to deliver business benefit. Linking the customers from the Seeds and Chemicals businesses, managing a higher standard of data quality and developing opportunities to link customer and vendor data where we deal with the same entity, to deliver savings in credit management and support the procurement cost savings. Also supporting the relationship between Syngenta AG and the Fair Labor Association in Geneva to develop a robust methodology for monitoring and reporting compliance and improvements to the labor conditions on farms contracted to grow seeds for Syngenta. Working directly with the team at the NGO and the company project team.

Following the creation of a global Syngenta Business Services organisation, promoted to a European role. Oversaw transition to new Business processes across the master data area (Finance, HR, Vendor and Customer and Materials for Seeds and Crop Protection businesses). Supporting a new set of strategic aims, to introduce standardised global processes, to get the benefits of scale and allow a greater degree of outsourcing of transactional work. Over 30 countries were moved onto the new processes and platforms for procurement and finance. In parallel we supported the transition of the entire Seeds business onto one global SAP platform. In the process we managed major cultural variations and got local management to buy in to the change.

This involved purchase negotiations, provision of a service, making the system compliant and producing reports. Inherited a contract with a small supplier not used to working with a large corporate. Resolved a significant pricing disagreement, managing costs within a tight budget.
