RSL Care and RDNS successfully merged in September 2015 after a three month due diligence period. The formal change of directorships did not occur until 1 April 2016 when all stakeholder consents had been received. I was appointed joint chairman on the merger of the entities and presided over a combined board until October 2016 when the board was reduced to 9 following the development of a comprehensive skills matrix. The Board has since been reduced to six.I remain Chair of RSL Care RDNS Ltd as the legal entity for the entity trading as Bolton Clarke.

RSL Care Limited was one of Australia's largest providers of retirement living, residential aged care and home care services . RSL Care was a social enterprise organisation operating 44 sites throughout Queensland and New South Wales servicing over 26,000 customers. As Chairman I successfully transitioned the board from a representative board to a skills based board. In July 2015, we commenced due diligence for a merger with RDNS (Royal District Nursing Service). The merger took effect from 1 October 2015 after which the company name changed to RSL Care RDNS Ltd. We set up and operated a level three hospital facility from which we provided medical care to the local population. We re-established the referral hospital in Kagali and initiated the re-establishment of the medical clinics in the regional areas. We worked closely with NGOs in the delivery of primary health care.
