    As a Senior Editor for the YGS Group, I have been responsible for several client publications, including the bi-monthly magazine and weekly e-newsletter of the American Bus Association. I plan the yearly editorial calendar, develop content for each issue, assign freelance writers, write copy, do substantive editing, copyediting, and work with a team of managing editors, copyeditors, and designers throughout the entire production of the publications.In addition, I enjoy attending conferences, workshops, meetings, and special events to glean knowledge of the motorcoach, travel and tourism industry.

    I managed the book production in the editorial department of Zur Ltd., dba WingSpread Publishers until it was sold to Moody Publishers in November of 2013. As well as hands-on writing, proofing, copyediting and typesetting when time allowed, I managed author contracts, foreign rights, printing quotes and editorial planning and titling meetings. When WingSpread was sold, I helped Moody with the transition as needed. Zur Ltd., also continued to use my skills for some of their Web projects and curriculum publishing until they closed their doors for good in December 2015. I am looking to replace the full time work I had when WingSpread Publishers (formerly Christian Publications, Inc.) was at its peak. Attached are some samples of books for which I have managed the complete production as well as written back cover copy and copyedited. I typeset The Radical Cross and designed several small ads and brochures such as the one attached.

    I worked part time at PARTS managing their publication needs which included a member handbook, directory, newsletter and many advertising and trade show brochures and ads. I wrote copy, proofed, edited, typeset and worked with printers and PARTS members. This enabled me to also be at home with my three children during their formative years.

    I wrote a series of articles for The Link, the monthly newspaper for the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church. I also went into the office to help when their full time editor was on leave for three months.

    I began working at Bristol Books (Good News Magazine) right out of college. My husband and I moved to Kentucky for him to attend graduate school. While he went to school, I worked full time. I started as a secretary in this publishing company and quickly worked my way up to Assistant Editor at the brand new book publishing division of Good News.
