OH/Ergonomics Consultant
-
2009 - Present
I am "semi-retired" and still work a little for EK Health helping the Sales and Marketing and Ergonomic Services Teams. I like helping people learn how to manage symptoms so they do not develop RSI's and learn how to take care of themselves with easy to learn stretches and other good habits that keep them healthy. I especially like staying in contact with my colleagues and clients and doing training.

2004 - 2009
I built and managed a team of 15 OH/Ergo Specialists to do ergonomic assessments and training and some occupational health activities throughout California. We saved companies hundreds of thousands of dollars when we were onsite providing services to employees and employers.

I was the Risk Manager at St. Luke's Hospital and enjoyed working with all the departments, all the employees and Health and Safety Committees to tackle issues involving patient and employee safety as well as other risk issues at this hospital. We successfully worked on reducing patient and employee injuries during this time and held safety and health informational events as well as worked as facilitator in small groups to identify and work on risk issues.

Loss Control Manager
-
1985 - 1997
I was the Occupational Health Nurse and Loss Control Manager for approximately 500 employees at the corporate office in San Francisco and also for the various beverage plants (ground coffee, tea, juice, cocoa, spice and flavored and instant coffee plants) throughout the USA. We put together training programs and manuals to help the plants with their Safety and OSHA requirements. We taught employees how to work safely and develop safe behaviors and encourage co-workers to also work safely. This had a huge impact on ROI and the safety record at the various locations.
