I love the hospitality industry because it's an opportunity to control the guest experience from start to finish. Unlike retail which is more of a drop in/drop out experience, from the minute someone walks in a restaurant, you have the ability to engage them and create a meaningful experience — what the host says when they greet you, what music is playing, the way a bartender presents your drink... there's a wide range of execution, and the people that do it well understand what great hospitality can really be. Responsibilities include team management, client relationships, new business, brand strategy, and creative direction.
