As a Special Agent for the State of California, Franchise Tax Board, I conducted misdemeanor and felony criminal investigations and assisted in the prosecution of White Collar crimes, including income tax, business code violations, computer fraud, real estate fraud, securities violations, welfare fraud and drug violations. Investigatory duties include special accountings, reconstructions, cash flow analysis, assessment and analysis of tax issues. I have written and assisted in the execution of search warrants with other law enforcement agencies., developed a computerized document management system, maintained the chain of custody of evidence while maintaining confidentiality of suspects and evidence related to each investigation. I conducted numerous interrogations of suspects and interviewing witnesses and writing comprehensive reports of encounters with suspects and witnesses.I developed a close working relationship with state Attorney General's office, local district attorneys, sheriffs departments, and city police departments. MY duties also included testifying as an expert witness in GAAP accounting, forensic accounting, auditing, financial, income tax, complex business entities, and computation of accounting and financial ratios.. I have testified as an expert in Municipal and Superior courts on the above identified issues.
