The Identification Bureau deals with three areas of forensics:-Fingerprints - crime scene and from custody - 7 SME's (subject matter experts, which includes myself).Footwear - crime scene and from custody - 3 SME's (subject matter experts ).Visual I/D - still images taken from CCTV - 1 Identification officer and 3 Identification technicians ( who deal with fingerprints from custody; code footwear from crime scene's and custody and deal with all visual I/D work). My role is to manage the bureau and when required other areas of the Forensic Investigations Unit and form part of the forensic senior management team.
