Other notable accomplishments during my current term: - Passed “Just Cause” legislation to protect renters during the pandemic from evictions- Passed Baltimore’s strongest local hiring law requiring city contractors to disclose and maintain local hiring goals - Passed legislation to establish the first-ever Suicide Prevention Coordinator in Baltimore City and established a city-wide Suicide Prevention workgroup (Chaired by Councilwoman Danielle McCray) - Passed legislation to grant Baltimore City residents $2,000 in security deposit relief and extended grace periods for rental late fees- Created a city fund to be used for apprenticeship opportunities and related fees for Baltimore City youth. I journalize my districts history and happenings via SEVENth District Magazine, a quarterly publication for and about the residents, merchants, patrons and citizens of Baltimore City's 7th District.
