Major Responsibilities & Achievements Managing the establishment of the Information Management centre at ANZ, managed a team of 100 ANZ and IBM employees and budget of $30 m. Led a multi-disciplinary, multi organisational, multi geography team to create a repeatable factory model which will progressively build out a global data warehouse. Established the following services In the Information Management centre: Services Consulting; Data Sourcing; Data Profiling; Metadata Management; Data Modelling; Data Integration; Information Analysis; Information Visualisation; etc. In parallel with establishment, oversaw multiple releases to aggressive timelines, facilitating teaming and creative problem solving to achieve results within fixed budgets. The program was first of a kind within the bank in terms of funding models, design governance and technology, and was not universally supported which required skilled diplomacy to achieve alignment between numerous stakeholders to gain buy in.

Established the Global Teradata Support model and functions to provide efficient and quality production support for the ANZ Teradata platform.

International Financial Reporting Standards Program Director

Major Responsibilities & AchievementsLed and managed the conversion of ANZ’s global financial reporting to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Major areas of impact to ANZ included: financial reporting; revenue recognition; financial instruments valuation; provisioning for doubtful debts and hedging. The program constituted 12 projects, each managed by a project manager reporting to the program director. With a $30m budget and over 130 employees, the program implemented new systems, business processes, financial and reporting policies. Managed the development and implementation of systems to cover main areas of impact and global general ledger systems.Managed the successful implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standards in ANZ globally. Implemented transitional arrangements over the 2004/05 financial year to ensure compliance by 1 October 2005.Successfully managed the relationship with ANZ's CFOs globally, regulating bodies globally and external auditors. Provided a reliable basis for notification of the changes that resulted from the new changes.
