I helped to teach a hands-on class dealing with a piece of computing hardware called the Raspberry Pi. The class covered concepts such as operating systems, circuit boards, LED light configuration/programming, Linux/Raspbian command line, soundboard construction, and cyber security using Wireshark. The first half of the program had the students completing a new project every day like building a soundboard or setting up an external camera. The second half focused on teaching the students about Cyber Security and using tools like Wireshark to give the students hands-on experience.

Virtual Reality Research Intern

I worked with the research team to find and test ways to enhance teaching approaches using virtual reality and game-like simulators. My projects included testing virtual nurse simulation programs, real-time college-like lecture halls, building 3D models, flight simulators, and computer programming. The internship was highly involved, as interns may get a 30-minute notice for a required video live stream while they were at home. It was designed to throw students into a highly professional environment for them to grow and complete larger sized projects in shorter amounts of time.
