    Responsible for a number of [key customer] highly automated maintenance engineering operations in warehousing and logistics distribution centres across a wide geography including areas of Scandinavia. This includes being directly in charge of 5 site maintenance managers and over 100 indirect staff reports at various managerial and technical levels. The automated distribution centres (DC's) within which the Dematic systems operate sees the use of an array of equipment for the processing of palletised goods, cartons, totes, and packaged products. The media for processing these goods are nominally high speed pocket/pouch and parcel sortation systems, conveyors and their sub-systems, multishuttle and storage/retrieval cranes to name but a few. The automated control systems used for these processing elements include PLC, Inverter, ASi-bus, ASi-safe, Profibus, Profinet, CAN-bus, Ethernet, Scanners and Scanner Networks, SCADA and MIS etc. Furthermore, the controls equipment utilised and integrated are from a number of manufacturers including Siemens, Datalogic, KEB, SICK, Cognex and SEW. Management of all aspects is achieved through the training, competence and performance auditing of people, CMMS (computerised maintenance management systems) with a heavy emphasis on data analysis to drive, MTTR (mean time to repair), MTBF (mean time between failure) continuous improvement and life cycle costing and replacement. In conjunction with proactive / condition based monitoring (CBM) this helps to drive real efficiency and governance into all aspects of support and maintenance.Personal qualifications include: BSc, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained, NEBOSH (National General Certificate), Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Diploma, BSi 55001
