• Initial temporary contract for 6 months to mentor newly promoted Managing Director, implement financial control, budgets and forecasting, resolve badly implemented new ERP system and improved stock, contracting and working capital controls. • Appointed FD in March 2000, merging 5 seperate companies into one manufacturing entity with sales offices and turning round a heavily loss-making generating set company involved in a number of problematic long-term contracts, by focusing the business on high value added projects and high margin service operations.• The Company was totally reorganised with all long term contracts successfully completed.UK volume manufacturing was transferred to Mexico and costs reduced by £2.9m. • In 2004 promoted and given wider role with responsibility as FD for another group business manufacturing, sales and service of UPS equipment, namely Erskine Ltd. Gained Six sigma green belt including specific operational improvements using process mapping, FMEA cause and effect, lean manufacturing and other six sigma tools to reduce non productive costs, design led cost issues and process problems.• Merged Erskine with DPS in 2007 and restructured the company growing sales year on year and generating profit in 2012 of £2m with consistent financial control.
