Under my supervision, the dividend payout of the bank went to 90% in 2014 from 35% of 2012 with 18% Capital Adequacy Ratio, which was the highest in the Oman capital market. I had worked closely with HSBC Middle East CFO to run process reengineering and streamlining projects (including lean Six Sigma projects) resulting in 37% reduction of Head Count in 2 years, at the same time implementing faster reporting, better control and improved work-life balance for the Finance team.I oversaw disposal of the India and Pakistan operations of the subsidiary bank, which was very challenging from cross border Finance control and Tax management perspective.I was accountable to a Board, 49% of which was represented by the non-HSBC directors and actively managed the Investor Relations activities of the bank. During my tenor, the bank achieved highest credit rating by the Fitch Rating Agency.
