Brew house tea room, the first vegetarian lunch room in Scioto county, Portsmouth ohio. A quant little 2 room lunch /tea room. I made the entire menu home made and meatless.Assorted teas and coffees, guitar or flute player during business hours, located in the historic Bonnefiddle area, in the old original brewery. At that time, it was made into a group of small shops, crafts, local artists, and the tea room. I managed and cooked there for 2 years. At that time, the "owners" decided to close its doors and I was unable to take it over financially.A little before its time for such a small town and shawnee state college was not near as large as it is now. We had a good business for its short 2 years there.... another time, it would still be open ..... I continued to cook and keep a certified kitchen and bakery, making home made goods and selling them at first in a small Bonnefiddle store front, but couldn't keep up with supply and demand, so delivered to my customers on a weekly basis. This lead into catering, a new commercial state, county and federal certified kitchen and cannery, marketing my own bbq sauce, hot mustard and salsa under my "Nancy's country kitchen " label.Self taught, never finished high school, I have been working for myself for the last 33 years, catering the last 10 . Keeping it a small business assures me I have hands on everything that leaves this kitchen. 4 delivery vans, 1 concession stand later, business is good.
